Richard Santoroski

Chief Commercial Officer

An energy and utility executive with deep expertise in global power and infrastructure markets, Richard Santoroski serves as Chief Commercial Officer at EdgePrimePower. In this role, he leads commercial structuring and translates the physical system into financeable contracts that meet customer needs.

With more than 30 years in the sector, Rich has built a track record of managing commercial risks, scaling investment platforms, navigating regulatory challenges, and delivering strong returns while advancing the global energy transition. Most recently, he held senior leadership roles at HA Sustainable Infrastructure Capital (HASI), including executive vice president and chief risk officer, and co-head of portfolio management, and now serves as a strategic adviser to the firm. In those roles, he expanded investment underwriting for utility-scale and behind-the-meter renewable projects.

Before HASI, Rich co-founded and led Wye Holdings and America Capital Energy & Infrastructure, building energy infrastructure investment platforms focused on international power markets. Previously, he spent more than a decade at AES, where he served on the executive committee and held senior roles in risk, trading, mergers and acquisitions, development, and commercial strategy across North America and Asia. He began his career at New York State Electric & Gas in engineering, resource planning, and energy trading roles during the formation of competitive power markets.

Rich earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Pennsylvania State University, a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Syracuse University, and a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University. He also serves on the board of REsurety, Inc., a leading provider of data, software, and services to the clean energy economy.
